51st Annual General Meeting & Conference
Three days of code updates, technical training and connection for New Brunswick's building officials.
About the AGM
Each spring, the New Brunswick Building Officials Association brings its members together to learn, to set the direction of the association and to celebrate the work that keeps our communities safe.
In 2027 we gather in downtown Moncton for three days of expert-led sessions, the Annual General Meeting, and plenty of time to reconnect with colleagues from across the province.
Updates on the codes and standards you enforce every day, and what the changes mean in the field.
Practical sessions on building science, inspections, plan review and fire and life safety.
Reports, resolutions and elections: your voice in the future of the association and the profession.
A welcome reception, exhibitor showcase and awards banquet with colleagues from every corner of the province.

Venue
The 2027 AGM comes to FiveFive Queen, an eight-storey landmark in the heart of downtown Moncton. It is home to the Canvas Moncton hotel, so you can stay steps from every session.
FiveFive QueenGreater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport (YQM) is about 15 minutes from downtown by car or taxi.
VIA Rail's Ocean route stops at Moncton station, a short drive from the venue.
Easy access from the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 2) and Route 15. Parking details will follow.
Canvas Moncton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is in the same building. Group rate details are coming soon.
Dining guide
Lunch breaks are one hour, so every spot here is within a 6-minute walk of FiveFive Queen. Short on time? Switch on Takeout only to see places that pack lunch to go.
The hotel's lobby lounge serves light fare and drinks, no coat required.
Moncton's well-loved brewpub: wood-fired pizza, burgers, and fish and chips.
Sushi and Japanese dishes. The dining room gets busy at lunch, so the takeout menu is the quicker choice.
Burritos, tacos and Tex-Mex favourites in a casual sit-down room.
Power bowls, wraps, salads and soup at Main and Botsford. Order ahead online to skip the line.
Craft beer and elevated pub fare. Locals rave about the braised boar poutine.
Vegetarian comfort food with plenty of vegan choices.
A roomy café-bistro for sandwiches, soup and Korean-inspired bites like the bulgogi bun. Order ahead online for pickup.
Always tell your server about your allergy.
These places publish dietary information or are consistently reported by diners to accommodate it. NBBOA has not inspected their kitchens: ask about shared fryers and cross-contact, and call ahead if your allergy is severe.
The menu marks gluten-free (GF), dairy-free (DF) and vegan (V) dishes. It doesn't publish an allergen or cross-contact statement, so ask staff before ordering.
Diners report gluten-free choices and staff who adjust dishes for dietary needs.
An all-vegetarian menu, and diners report that many dishes can be made gluten-free.
Gluten-free bread means almost any sandwich can be made gluten-free, and there's gluten-free baking too.
For meals served at the AGM itself, tell us about allergies and dietary needs when you register.
Walking times are estimates, and opening hours and takeout come from public listings checked in October 2026. Confirm before you go, and book ahead for groups.
